Dear Leo, Finn, Nicolas, Seabstian and Family,
We have gathered in Mrs. Malkin’s class to say hello. We are here with Mrs. Saunders class as well. We wanted to say how we miss you all, and can’t wait to hear about your adventures when you return. We learned from you that silver back goriilas are 6 feet tall, and gorillas are “persnickety” because they only sleep in one place, and then they move to another spot each night. Also, we learned about gorillas bathroom habits!!! Marco Polo wants to know if you got seasick at all? Brianna wants to know if the gorilla guy is going to come to our school? Lilly wants to know if you saw any sea creatures on the cruise, like seals or cool fish?
We are wishing you a wonderful holdiay and Happy New Year. See you in 2013!!

HI EVERYONE!!
Well, first: WE MISS YOU GUYS!!
to answer your questions:
seasick? -yes. pretty much everyone became seasick on the four night of our journey. the seas were pretty rough for one night. luckily there is medication that they gave us, so everyone recovered pretty quickly!
Dean Jacobs (aka: the gorilla guy) we actually had dinner with Dewan tonight and yes, he would LOVE to come to Rowayton School. we are going to contact Principle Reilly and see if we can arrange it. he has an entire program for schools and kids! (Mrs. Malkin and Mrs. Saunders, would you mind passing on Dean’s website, as we have somewhat limited access? he is at: ‘www.deanjacobs.org’)
sea creatures: well we have seen a whole lot of birds and monkeys and alligators… but not many fish (other than the ones’ at dinner!) YET. But, we’re still at the start of our journey. we will keep our eyes peeled!
